Due to its’ beautiful features and attraction, Jeju Island is fast becoming a popular tourist attraction, known for its’ fresh seafood offerings, UNESCO World Heritage Sites, museums, theme parks, mountains, waterfalls, beaches, and other beautiful bounties from nature. There are too many activities to be done on Jeju Island, also known as South Korea’s “Hawaii”, so we’ve compiled a 8D7N Muslim-friendly itinerary that will appeal to the foodie, nature-lover and thrill-seeker, romantic, and/ or KPOP lover in you!

DAY 1

Grab a bite at Badapungkyong!

This beach-side restaurant gives you a killer view as you enjoy their meal! As Jeju is famous for seafood, start your meal with their famous sea urchin and seawood soup. They are also known for their abalone and seafood in a hot pot, but we had their lightly-battered, golden seafood tempura and perfectly grilled mackerel.

DAY 2

Climb up to Seongsan Ilchulbong Peak!

Also called Sunrise Peak, this UNESCO World Natural Heritage site is truly a sight to behold. It’s famous for featuring a huge crater at the top of the peak. This place is also known for Jeju Haenyeo female divers who dives deep into the water without oxygen masks to collect seafood. Start your day by climbing to the top, and enjoy the rewards of breathtaking view. We recommend spending at least 2 hours here and unwinding afterwards at the coffee shops nearby.

DAY 3

Pick fresh tangerines at Jeju-E-in Tangerine Farm!

Jeju is South Korea’s largest gamgyul (tangerine) producer. You can opt to take your own basket to pick tangerines from the tangerine parks, afterwards which they will weigh by kilogram and you can bring back the juicy fruits back with you. We also recommend trying their specialty tea and dessert at their cafe.

If the sea always calls out to you, take a ride on the Shangri-La yacht tour to enjoy a majestic view of the ocean, whilst enjoying activities such as fishing. DAY 7

Make your way to Jeju B.E.S.T. Hill!

Known as Jeju Beautiful Eco Site Tour (B.E.S.T.) Hill, all KPOP lovers, you’ll need to spend at least one night here in the wilderness! With many outdoor activities (and indoor entertainment for rainy days), you’ll also get to see your fav KPOP idols autographs from previous visitors such as BTS and BlackPink. Enjoy hot air balloon activity or give the Drone Park a try (this humble writer admits she only managed to hit one target out of five targets during her Drone Park activity). DAY 8

Enjoy a spot of shopping at Dongmun Traditional Market!

If you have opted for a night flight, squeeze in an  hour or two shopping for local gifts that you can bring back! Do try out some of the traditional vegetarian-friendly snacks, or opt to purchase the famous Jejukiss tangerine chocolates. It’s also nearby to Jeju Jungang Underground Shopping Center, the best place to shop for beauty products and clothing accessories during winter time.

Grab your last bite of Korean food at Daewonga!

End your final day in Jeju with super fresh seafood! Enjoy their famous abalone stew in a hot pot, as it simmers away slowly. The hot broth is perfect to eat on a cold winter day. If you find the seafood intimidating to eat, their server will assist in cutting the seafood for you. Another tip is to add the ramyeon noodles last once the seafood has cooked so it can soak up all the seafood goodness.
